It would be nice if you could control how the Excel import should handle empty cells in the import file. To reduce the risk of accidentally emptying fields and deleting data, the default handling should be that the import does NOT clear data from empty cells. But by making an active choice, you should be able to tell the import to also clear the fields where the cell is in the import file.
