Currently we as a Partner often get reports from clients that when linking to a category page, the page is empty.
That is because the page interprets all query parameters as filters.
Various mail platforms, advertisement platforms etc often add a tracking parameter to links and that causes the error. The code can handle a few common parameters but new ones result in an empty page.
The litium accelerator code should handle this better so that all parameters that are not product fields don't affect the page.
Still a problem, 3 years later... and pretty hard for a customer to notice, if they don't click on their own Google Ads.
We're still forced to have this on our manual checklist before golive on our projects.
This is a pretty embarrassing problem and it needs for be fixed permanently in the platform.
