Sometimes fields are related in functionallity and if some field is set as "off" or false, then other related fields should be hidden as they won't "work" or do anything

Well custom field type would take time and some existing fields in accelerator would need to be modified. Something like a pointer property on the fields and filter condition would probably do.
Wouldn't a custom field type be the best solution for this?
