PIM export doesn't apply variant filter

If I do a search/filtering in PIM - for example for all products with Color=Blue and then export the result to Excel, filters are not properly applied. I get all products/variants with Color=Blue, but I also get all other variants in those products. I should only get the variants with color=blue, not others.
