Since litium aim to reaplace the need for a separate PIM this should be high on the todo list. It would make it mutch easier to maintain a category structure since you could just have a one or more properties that define in witch category the product should be added in witch would render in mutch less manual work in litium PIM.  Addin product to categories manually in litium are way to many clicks and working with exelexport/imports isnt so simple for the average user since they need to know how to write the category structure in text.
